Emilia El Hattab

Who?

Emilia El Hattab is an analyst in Sitra’s investment team. Many of her tasks are related to responsible investment and its development at Sitra. In addition to responsible investment, Emilia’s work includes finding and analysing new potential investment opportunities, market and portfolio analyses, and portfolio management.

What?

Emilia has previously worked in the banking sector with fixed-income products, and provided consulting services on sustainable finance. Emilia’s alma matter is the Aalto University School of Business from where she graduated as a Master of Economic Sciences. In her studies, Emilia focused on sustainability in addition to finance, and she wrote her master’s thesis on impact investing and measuring impact.

Huh?

Emilia spends her free time engaging in different hobbies, be it CrossFit, jogging, hiking, tennis, sailing, skiing, cross-country skiing, or swimming. Emilia is a social butterfly and enjoys spending her free time with her friends and family, often while eating good food or experiencing something new.

Sustainability is close to Emilia’s heart, and she believes that the importance of sustainability in investing will only grow. By channeling funding to responsible investment opportunities, we can positively contribute to climate change mitigation or to stopping biodiversity loss. And action must be taken now, not later.
