Lasse Miettinen

I am the Director of Sitra’s Programmes function. With my team, the task of our programmes is to scale up transformative societal innovations, addressing the crucial challenges of our time. Together with our partners, we turn best ideas into practice throughout the Finnish society.

I have more than twenty years of experience in driving societal change. In my previous career before joining Sitra, I spent nearly a decade in the heart of political decision-making, serving as special adviser to ministers and Secretary General of the Finnish Green Party. At Sitra, I previously managed Sitra’s work on the sustainability transition. I’m enormously excited by finding new solutions to pressing problems, and helping partners to transform them into action.
