Laura Halenius

I lead Sitra’s project Growth from Critical Technologies, which aims to strengthen the capabilities of Finnish actors to succeed in technology sectors of growing international relevance – such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and space and quantum technologies. In this project, we develop operating models and funding instruments that enable investments and support the scaling of technologies in both civilian and dual-use environments.

I bring over 20 years of experience in advancing societal transformation, with a strong background in artificial intelligence, the data economy, and digital solutions. I’m driven by the opportunity to build strategic competitive advantage and growth for Finland through technology – and to create models that connect innovation, talent, and impact.
